It was 32 and snowing slush here this morning. Now it is a balmy 35 and going up to 37 everything on the drive and sidewalks should melt, so I don’t have to shovel this evening.

Are all chandelier installations shut down do to the snow?

I’m enjoying the trials and tribulations of the PNW oppos that normally have such mild winters. I live in St Louis so they are not even remotely severe, but nightmares compared to yours.

It makes me both chuckle and regret not moving up there a couple years ago when I had a chance. I had an offer up there but I also had one here that paid more, and counting the cost of living like 30% more so I stayed. I still wish I had moved.

Yeah it looks good but for the edge work. That’s really down to a lack of experience tho. If he know it was going to snow 3 more fee over the next month those edges would be perfect.

Fair warning, you may be legally obligated to clear any sidewalk that runs along your property. Never heard of anyone being prosecuted for that, but you never know when someone is going to slip, fall, and sue you for it.

If there aren’t any ordinances that require you to also pay to repair the sidewalks you can argue the city has no authority to require you to clear the sidewalks. Further, if the city hasn’t cleared your street you an argue you shouldn’t be held to a higher standard that the city.

You have to remember just because something is written into codes or a contact doesn't make it automatically enforceable.
